You take on the role of the narrator in "You're the Storyteller: The Surprise," a captivating wordless tale presented in a beautifully animated format. This app, designed for iPad users, allows up to 30 individuals to record their narrations and written stories. For individual users, the Home Version is recommended. Please note that there is no iPhone version available. This application is ideal for enhancing narrative language skills.

The heartwarming story follows a boy who brings home a stray dog and tries to keep it a secret from his mother. Through body language, facial expressions, and strategically incorporated sound effects, witness the narrative unfold and discover the reason behind its title, 'The Surprise!'

The story consists of 8 chapters, with animated clips that last an average of 15 seconds each. This structure allows children to describe and recount the tale in manageable sections. Users can listen to the entire narrated story from start to finish using the Table of Contents. Additionally, users have the option to watch the original story with or without musical accompaniment, email their story along with the voice file, or print it out.

For each chapter, users are presented with 'Challenge Words.' While optional, these words cater to advanced language learners looking to incorporate them into their narration. The 'Questions' section provides 3 prompts for each chapter. Detailed answers and suggestions can be found in the Information page.

This Professional version can store voice files and written narrations for up to 30 users. Replacing any existing recordings or writings, new submissions from a user override previous ones.

Beyond its entertaining elements, this app offers a myriad of educational and therapeutic benefits, such as aiding in articulation practice, fluency enhancement, syntax development, and social-cognitive skills like perspective-taking and interpreting body language/facial expressions.
